API Guide

Read access to the soil profile database over a simple HTTP/JSON API. Use it to pull profiles, value lists and the map points of localisations into QGIS, Python or any HTTP client. Examples below are pre-filled with this server's address so you can copy & paste.

What you can do

  • Fetch soil profiles and their horizons, samples & measurements as JSON.
  • Pull the localisation points as GeoJSON straight into QGIS or geopandas.
  • Browse the value lists (incl. KA3–KA6 classification flags).

Public, published records are openly available. Logging in adds access to your own (non-public) records and unlocks the full route reference and copy-paste examples below.
